Captain Billy Glosson fell in love with the water and boating in 1965 when his family moved to a new home on Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Georgia. Since that time he has continuously owned, loved, and enjoyed with friends and family various boats in various locations. "There's no better way to explore the planet than by water" he says. Sure, tons of regular life demands would take him away from the water over the next 50+ years, but he always returned to the peaceful sanctuary of the water whenever possible. After graduating from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) in 1982, he returned home to start a banking career and raise a family. During that fulfilling time,  the "Sanctuary" experiences expanded  from Lake Lanier to include coastal Georgia, the Gulf Coast of Florida, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, U.S. and British Virgin Islands,  St. Martin, Antigua, Barbados, Martinique and Belize. With the children raised and independent, along with a decision to take early retirement from the financial services industry, it was only natural that he pursue his water passion and share it with family and friends (both old and new). In September 2016, he purchased the flagship charter vessel based in Road Town, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. In honor of his two children Van and Monica, this 51 foot Power Catamaran was named The VanMoni and the charter company was born.
